Yup, we're getting ready to take off again. But this time we're really going to take off; we get on a plane on Thursday night, fly overnight to London, and then hop on a short flight to Vienna, arriving mid-afternoon on Friday.
From there, it's not so much as summerontheroad as summerontherails, as we won't have a car for the next three weeks. But we're traveling by train from Vienna to Prague, then to Berlin, then Amsterdam, and finally to Paris, after which we return home.
We have been planning this trip for about 8 months and we're 90% excited and 10% nervous, on average. We've got some hopefully amazing things booked (windmill tour! the Palace of Versailles!). I am not thrilled about getting on a plane, but that's how these things go. I'm counting on really amazing cheese and bread and pastries and beer to make up for it.
I'll be posting here semi-regularly, primarily as an online journal. I promise I'll never once ask you if you read this. But if you do want to see pictures, this is the place to come.
We're definitely going to miss home (and our pups!) but I'm looking forward to some real new adventures.
